Executive summary
Bangladeshi is an emerging economy. There are many areas of business where Bangladesh has been recognized as world’s no 1 business attractive country. Many opportunities are continuously entering in this region. This society is a platform to enter in this emerging market.
Field of activities
The society works in the field of
- Business development (export/import/manufacturing/financial/marketing service etc.)
- Technology development and Transfer(Software/IT/Renewable energy etc.
- Educational development (University/college/research activity transfer)
Members of the society actively cooperate to develop the projects, which include idea sharing to implementation. The major supports are as follows:
- Business start-up support (Business plan development, company formation, Market Study, Office, marketing etc.) and networking (Business connections, Club support, workshop, seminar etc.)
- Consultancy and travel support(one member will be able to travel to Bangladesh each year, eligibility will come by rotation)
Case-studies
Under the umbrella of the society, 3 businesses have already been formed. 1. USA based NRB is going to start soft drinks manufacturing company in Bangladesh. 2. UK-USA-Bangladesh based entrepreneurs have already started a social enterprise for web and print publishing of Bangla World (www.banglaworld.org) 3. A Multi-level member based consultancy firm has been established.
Each director deposits membership fee (one off) 5,00,000 (Five lac) taka.
Initially Membership fee is deposited in the Bank as a Fixed Deposit (FDR). The money can be invested in any fixed establishment later.
The profit of the FDR is used to run the Society activities. Three representatives ( 1. Mr. Monir Bhuiyan from Bangladesh, 2. Mr. Nuruz Zaman in the USA, 3) Mr. Syed Ilias Talukdar in the UK 4) Mr. Shafiuzzaman Khan Khadem) are working to coordinates the members from 3 countries.
Organization and leadership
Online meeting, webinar are organized to conduct monthly and general meeting. Annual General Meeting are held in any of the 3 countries after getting consents from the members. Dedicated web is available where members can upload their profile, see financial statement and other activities in a secured member area. The full constitution is available for prospective members.
